Coconut Protein Bars

There's no need to go wasting your money on hundreds of protein bars when you can make your own for half the price! Also, this way you know exactly what's going into them. You can have these post workout or even as a snack throughout the day.

 

Ingredients: (makes 3 bars)

  • 2 scoops vanilla whey 
  • 20g desiccated coconut
  • 30g coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup of milk (we used almond)
  • Dark chocolate (melted)

Method:

  • Put all ingredients (not including dark chocolate) into a bowl and mix together thoroughly until you've made a smooth batter.
  • Using your hands, shape the batter into 3 even bars.
  • Lightly drizzle over your dark chocolate coating and pop the bars in the freezer for 20-30 minutes.
